Leeds is full of so many incredible independent businesses and people, yet some of us are still unfamiliar with who they are and what they do. Some have been residents in Leeds for years while others are fairly new and became a part of the city when we were all locked away in 2021/21. So it’s time to get to know some of the people in Leeds and everything you need to know about their business. Introducing Eat Your Greens…
Eat Your Greens in Leeds is an organic restaurant, natural wine bar and grocery store all rolled into one. By day their grocery store, deli and bottle shop offers a range of sandwiches, salads, tasty coffee and a shop full of organic groceries, provisions, natural wines, ciders and lots more goodies from small incredible independent producers up and down the country. But by night they switch to an organic restaurant and bar with a great selection of natural wines, seasonal cocktails, a weekly changing menu of seasonal goodness and a rotating calendar of local DJs. You can also find their friends ‘Tomorrow Store’ housed within the shop, which is an independent lifestyle store specialising in gender neutral clothing, accessories and lifestyle goods.
Eat Your Greens has been open for almost four years now and can be found just over the road from Leeds Kirkgate Market and next door to Outlaws Yacht Club. The space is very relaxed and laid back, it has a family vibe which all their customers love and end up spending the evening here. Also the music’s great, anywhere is more inviting when you have a good selection of DJs and music.
Their menu changes every week so it can be hard to pick a best seller or a menu favourite. The food, beers, wine and cocktails all change on a weekly basis so there’s always something a little bit different. And the same goes for the shop as the organic groceries change seasonally. Other than these changes, the products that end up flying off the shelves are the Kold Sauce Hot Sauce and the Porter’s Gin Pocket Negroni’s.
