Leeds United Football Club has been a proud presence in this city since being formed in 1919. During the 1960s and 70s, Leeds became one of the greatest sides in the world, winning trophies with a style and character that still resonates throughout the city, and made so many players of that era revered forever.
In 1992, the team won the first division title, and for a decade the city was living the dream once more. Then, in 2004 Leeds United were relegated, and for 16 years have been playing outside of the English Premier League. During this time, the club slowly slipped away from the city’s people.
But we always believed. In 2020 Leeds United were promoted back to the top flight, and pride spilt forth onto the walls of Leeds with incredible celebratory street art. From Thorp Arch to Elland Road, the city has become United by colour.
