Zaap

The Royal Armouries

 

Explore centuries of history’s most impressive battle armour at the Royal Armouries. This museum is home to the UK’s national collection of arms and armour with over 4,500 objects on display. From Henry VII’s foot combat armour from 1520 to the largest animal amour in the world – there is so much to discover here. It is a great location to visit if you are looking for an educational but fun experience. It is also completely free to visit making it a great way to enjoy a day out on a budget! 

 

The Little Biscuit Pottery Painting Studio 

 

Head on over to Morley if you’re looking for a fun and unique way to get creative! At the Little Biscuit you can get creative with some paints and decorate your very own piece of pottery. Here they provide  pottery painting sessions suitable for all ages meaning the whole family can get involved. Your booking gets you a cosy spot in the studio for 2 hours – plenty of time to get painting and enjoy a snack and a drink whilst you’re at it. A £10 deposit is needed to secure your table but this will be deducted from your total spend. This is the perfect place to visit if you fancy trying something new with your family. 

 

The Lakeside Cafe- located near to Roundhay Park 

 

Nestled on the shore of Waterloo Lake in Roundhay Park is the welcoming Lakeside Cafe. It is the perfect place to rest and relax after a long day of exploring the park. Their menu is made up using locally sourced and freshly prepared menu items for breakfast and lunch menus. Some of their most popular menu items are some of the best coffee and scones you could find in Leeds! All this and more can be enjoyed whilst drinking in the beautiful views of the lake. This is definitely a cafe the whole family can enjoy!
