Living up to its flowery name, Fleur is quite the blooming sight; a vibrant visual of beautiful fresh colour that brings The Light to life. Entering through the unmissable exterior of purple bouquets reveals an equally striking interior, highlighted by the thousands of butterflies which adorn the ceiling. It’s all excitingly instagrammable…
All of which is enough reason to visit and immerse in the aesthetics – but Fleur is much more than that. The food and drink at this restaurant, cafe and bar makes as much of an impact as the surroundings, and it is this that will keep you coming back for more.
The man behind the menu is Master Chef Finalist Bobby Geetha, and that quality is evident in a carefully curated selection that provides something for everyone without diluting anything for anyone. From morning to night, for brunch, lunch or dinner, couples, families and friends can enjoy a feast that is both special and comforting here.
Fleur makes sampling these dishes even more tempting by offering set menus for brunch and for dinner. A 2 or 3 course special is available for both – every day until 4pm for the former, which changes over to the latter after 4pm Monday to Thursday.
From £16.95, brunch features starters of smoked salmon Yorkshire quiche, zucchini fritters and bang bang sticky chicken wings, with mains of bao burgers, focaccia sandwiches and keema, naan and egg. And from only £18.95, dinner starts with French trimmed lamb chops and buffalo cauliflower before moving to mains including king prawn udon noodles and mushroom gnocchi – or treat yourself to a tasty upgrade of steak, salmon or beef brisket – you know you’re worth it!
As the food travels round the world, from Yorkshire to Asia and back, picking up the subtle spices and finest flavours along the way, so too do the drinks. There are crowd-pleasing favourites here, from the wine list to the bottled beers and the gin and tonics, plus some playfully inventive cocktails – try a rhubarb negroni, a blueberry margarita or a biscoff martini…
The classics are irresistible too, especially on a Monday to Thursday when happy hour is every hour – all day and night you can enjoy two cocktails or spritz for £12.95 – or perhaps get the fizz bubbling and keep the liquid flowing by indulging in Fleur’s bottomless Prosecco with food offer for £49.95. Accompanied perfectly by their themed playlists on Thursdays and Saturdays, from boy bands to Ibiza hits! Flowers, fizz and food – it’s the fun of the Fleur!
