You will get the opportunity to learn how to weave baubles using a wooden bauble frame in unique and colourful styles in the Weaving Shed. The experience is open to everyone no matter what level of experience you have, and everyone gets to take home three baubles that they created. Join in on the fun on November 26th for only £35 to take part.

Fancy getting in the Christmas spirit with a modern twist? You can do just that at Chu’s Floral on Great George Street in the city centre. Have fun and get creative with some delicate dried flowers to make an everlasting festive decoration that you’ll love for years to come. Using a variety of seasonal dried materials like cotton, pine cones and handmade silk ribbons, there’s no better place to get into the Christmas spirit. The workshop will take place on Sunday, December 11th at 2:30pm to 5pm, costing £65 per person.

Explore the lino print design process and get creative at Cafe Yoga with their Christmas workshop run by local print maker and owner of Ink and Bear, Sophie Greenwood. This workshop is perfect for beginners with the whole process of safely cutting the lino and printing your design using ink explained in detail. You will get to create a set of ten Christmas using your unique design that you can take home and gift to your loved ones. The workshop takes place on December 3rd for £38 per person, which includes all materials and coffee.

For an evening of Christmas joy, mince pies, mulled wine, Christmas bangers and crafts, book yourself on to the Christmas Wreath Workshop at Flavour like Fancy. Hosted by local wreath makers Cat and Lauren, there will be plenty of guidance and expert advice to ensure you create an amazing piece of festive perfection. The materials are all locally sourced from Bingley’s West Yorkshire florist Rustic Garden with a wide variety of options that will help you fulfil your wreath fantasies. Tickets cost £35 per person, which includes all materials, and the workshop takes place on December 3rd. 

Painted Baubles at The Craft House, Bingley

Decorate your tree with, or gift your loved ones, beautifully decorated handmade baubles made at the Painted Baubles workshop at The Craft House in Bingley. Illustrator Lucy Hook will be on hand to help you achieve and create something amazing. At the workshop a variety of bauble shapes, paints, paintbrushes, pom poms, felt holly leaves and much more will be provided. You will learn how to create a colour palette, how to work with acrylic, and different brush techniques to put to use. The two hour event takes place on November 29th and costs £30 per person which includes all materials, equipment and three baubles you can take home. 

Crochet Christmas Gift Bags Workshop at The Mustard Pot 

Add a personal touch to Christmas gifts this year with a handmade crochet Christmas gift bag. The beginner friendly workshop at The Mustard Pot is a great place to kickstart your passion for crochet and learn the basic stitches you need to create something magical, whether it be Santa themed, elf themed or a bit of both! The workshop takes place on December 5th and all materials are included in the £25 ticket price. 

Tin Decorations + Wreath Making at Yorkshire Sculpture Park 

Create unique festive tin decorations and tin wreaths inspired by Mexican folk art alongside Louise Lockhart, also known as ‘The Printed Peanut’. Louise will demonstrate how you can transform recycled tin tubes into a Christmas decoration like no other. In the morning you will explore your creativity by experimenting with decorations, and in the afternoon the decoration ideas will flourish into a beautiful tin wreath. This exciting workshop takes place on December 3rd and will cost £95. All you need to bring along is images of leaves, birds, animals that inspire you and your creativity. 

Paint Your Own Christmas Card at Oh, Hello Studio 

Get in touch with your inner artist and practise your watercolour skills with Oh, Hello’s Paint Your Own Christmas Card workshop on December 16th. Create unique Christmas cards for your family and friends decorated with a beautiful watercolour robin that you can feel proud of. The session includes demonstrations, painting exercises, the chance to apply the newly learnt techniques, and all the materials you need. Tickets cost only £20 each.
