This summer Leeds is bustling with a wide range of exciting festivals! From music and comedy to food and drink, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Here are a few festivals that we can’t wait to attend this summer:

Enjoy a day full of laughter at the historic Kirkstall Abbey the Kirkstall Abbey Comedy Festival! The festival takes place on the 28th of July and features a lineup of top comedians and rising stars. Comedians performing include Kathrine Ryan, Ross Noble, Mike Wozniak and many more! The event opens at 2:30pm and runs until 9:30pm, with a minimum entry age of 14 years. Leeds SKA and Mod Festival is returning to Millenium Square on the 4th of August for a day of electrifying performances! There is an exciting lineup of great artists at this year’s festival including The Chords, Stranger Cole, Death of Guitar Pop and many more! Indulge in the best of Yorkshire’s food and drink, at the A Taste of Yorkshire food and drink festival. Featuring local produce, craft beers, and artisan food stalls, there are so many goodies to be found! This festival is hosted at Middleton Railway on the 3rd and 4th of August, with the unique offering of the trains running into the evening allowing you to enjoy the delightful festival for even longer. Live entertainment and children’s entertainment will be available across the whole weekend, making it a weekend full of fun. Day tickets start from £5 for a child, £10 for an adult and £28 for a family of two adults and up to three kids. All tickets also include unlimited train rides!

One of the UK’s most iconic music festivals is back again this summer! Leeds Festival returns with an incredible lineup of artists across various genres. Featured artists include Liam Gallagher, Lana Del Rey, 21 Savage, Blink 182 and many more! This highly anticipated event offers a weekend of amazing music and atmosphere with energised crowds excited to see their favourites take to the stage. Leeds Festival takes place the 21st to the 25th of August with a wide variety of ticket and camping options.

Enjoy a magical night of outdoor cinema at Kirkstall Abbey this summer. The Frontier Sapiens Adventure Film Festival takes place on the 22nd of August from 8:30pm to 11pm. Join the crowds at Kirkstall Abbey for the UK’s largest open air film tour where you can experience a collection of extraordinary short films.
