The Cardigan Arms
The Cardigan Arms is a historic Victorian pub in the heart of Burley, restored to its former glory by Kirkstall Brewery and stocking a wide range of beer from the brewery and beyond. The kitchen offers a tempting array of burgers, sandwiches and snacks and the freshly baked sausage rolls have become something of a local legend. The pub was designed by Thomas Winn & Sons, famed for crafting some of Leeds’ most famous buildings, and built in 1896.
The pub offers a not-at-all-serious quiz on a Tuesday night with rounds including blind beer tasting and badly-played songs. The Sunday Soft-Pedal is a fine way to wind down before the working week, with live jazz in the taproom from 5pm.
