First Direct Arena
The First Direct Arena is a 13,500 capacity arena in Leeds, and the first of its kind in the UK to have a fan-shaped orientation. This makes it the perfect venue to listen to some of the biggest names in music.
Visible from most parts of the city centre, the First Direct Arena lights up its surroundings with ease, and provides a soundtrack to keep the city partying until the late hours.
Back in 2010, Leeds was one of only two major cities in England that did not have an arena style venue within its borders. Public demand brought the First Direct Arena to the city, and countless acts with it. Constructed in a super theatre fan shaped format, instead of the typical bowl or horse-shoe seating arrangement found in most UK arenas, the arena promises perfect sightlines from each seat. Plus, with 15 rows of seating able to be retracted, the First Direct Arena can be transformed to create a huge floor area holding thousands of standing spectators.
