Argent Contemporary Jewellery
Located in Leeds’ historical Thornton’s Arcade, Argent has evolved and grown with the times over the last 28 years, welcoming new brands and fashion-forward ranges into its eclectic mix of British jewellery designers. Staff have an excellent background knowledge of jewellery and prefer a more conversational sales approach rather than pressure selling. The price range of jewellery sold is diverse to suit all pockets. Argent recently welcomed a complete refurbishment which has given staff a new excitement for the shop’s future. With improved lighting, sleek white cabinets and a textured feature-wall, Argent now must be one of the brightest shops in Leeds.
Argent sources and showcases up-and-coming UK designers as well as stocking core brands such as Nomination, Trollbeads, Chlobo, Daisy London, Shaun Leane, Kit Heath, Uno de 50 and Linda MacDonald. Argent is proud to be a northern stockist of Alex Monroe, who is strongly influenced by nature and British eccentricity, and is most known for his bumblebee pendant.
Argent is also a proud stockist of Amanda Cox, a Yorkshire designer whose jewellery incorporates freshwater pearls into both her lily and acorn collections. Fashion-forward brands such as Chlobo and Daisy London follow the current trends of layering and take their influences from healing, mindfulness and symbolism.
50 utilises pewter in its designs, giving the look and feel of silver, but at a fraction of the cost. Argent works alongside a trusted designer with whom they have a longstanding relationship, offering a unique bespoke service encouraging customers to rework old pieces of jewellery or commission new designs. They utilise CAD to create visuals of the design suggestions so that the customer is guaranteed to be 100% satisfied with the finished product before it has even been made.
To complement this service, Argent also showcase Prism Design Contour wedding bands, one of the only British companies offering bespoke shaped bands in all metals made to fit any engagement ring. For bargain hunters, there is an outlet clearance floor where customers can find quality pieces with reductions of up to 75%.
